Today is the second and final day of Summer Vacation, Part 2. This part I am dubbing "the stay-cation" since we spent the last couple of days doing chores, errands and working on some home improvements.
Tuesday was filled with unpacking, laundry, putting lots of new things away (we did some shopping you see), grocery shopping, some naps and a walk for Ms. Pup.
Wednesday was very busy. We had a quick Safeway run (needed a paper and a few other things), worked in the yard (mowed, pulled weeds, cleaned up after Ms. Pup), and painted the upstairs bathroom. Let me tell you, painting is not for the faint of heart and is much harder than it looks! We had a few stumbles along the way, but the main wall color is on. In the next few weeks we will be doing the trim, cabinet doors and ceiling. We will also paint the laundry room and the downstairs bathroom.
Thursday is the final day of Summer Vacation, Part 2. We are planning on hosting my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and niece for a short day visit. I'm gonna head down to Longmont with them (leaving behind Ms. Pup to take care of her dad) and gear up for Charleston.
