Sunshine, Friends & Daisy

Things have been quite busy the last few days.  After our sad letting go of Panda Girl, we were told that another dog was coming into the rescue and would we like to see about adopting her.

Well we were busy busy busy on Saturday getting things ready to meet the new pup.  We headed over to the church "Stuff Sale" and made it out with only 1 box of things (we donated 4 boxes).  We enjoyed the beautiful weather of sunshine and light breeze and anxiously awaited meeting the new dog.

When the woman from the rescue arrived I was a little guarded because I didn't want to break my heart if it wasn't going to be the best for all 3 of us.  But the pup sniffed our hands and rolled over to get belly rubs.  She automatically pegged us as big suckers...and she is right!  Having a few minutes together, we felt good about things and parted ways with the rescue woman.

Getting ready for bed
Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon were spent doing yard work, going on walks and enjoying the weather.  We tossed around a few names for the dog (she didn't come with one being that she was a stray) and we have decided on Daisy.  It fits because I love daisies.

Sunday evening we had a friend from seminary driving through so we had a great dinner, a walk to show her around town and wonderful visit.  We had a great visit.  The evening went way to fast and we were very glad to get some good time with such a good friend.
