The last few days have been quite busy. Here is a "brief" run-down (we'll see how long this REALLY gets).
Sunday: Busy morning as usual at church. In the afternoon there was a dance recital with all the kids in town who dance, cheer, etc. at the dance studio. Also, our Zumba class did a demonstration! As the shirt says, we were inviting people to "Join the party!"
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday have been busy with the same old, same old. School/Work (depending on what you want to call it), chores, hanging out with each other and with the pup. You know, life in general. Today, Daisy and I were supposed to begin obedience class, but because of our torrential rains and flash flood warning, it has been cancelled.
In other sad, depressing news, a girl who I went to high school with and is friends with a lot of my friends is in need of some thoughts, prayers and support. On Monday afternoon she and her son were held hostage by her fiancee (and the son's father). She managed to escape the home and in the process was shot three times by her fiancee. The man then proceeded to return to the home and killed his son and himself. The Sheriff's department has said that the home was also doused in gasoline. She is recovering after 2 surgeries and will have a long road to recovery: both emotionally and physically. Please pray for Shannon and her family. Her chances of survival increase every day and that is a miracle.
