Blessing of the Animals

Waiting on my Blessing!

Today we commemorated St. Francis of Assisi at church with a Blessing of the Animals.  After church a bunch of us went home and then brought our pets back to the church for a blessing.

There were a good number of pups there as well as one bunny and 2 chickens.  There was lots of sniffing, playing and rolling in the grass.  We had a short service with a reading from Genesis, a prayer and blessings for each animal.  

A good time was had by all - especial Miss Pup who was so excited she threw up!  But she got to go to her Daddy's work, meet lots of friends, and even get an extra cookie.
